The Four Most Evocative Christmas Songs
The awe-inspiring nature of Christmas is quite fascinating.
No other day in our culture inspires as much spirit, music, stories, tradition — and, most of all, money spent — than Christmas. I could go on forever about all the things that fascinate me about Christmas, but I want to focus on the music here.
Christmas music has a hold on me like a grandmother’s warm hug: it evokes warmth, nostalgia, love, appreciation, and joy — so much joy, that I’m compelled to share my list of most emotionally evocative Christmas songs. In doing so, I hope a newfound appreciation for these songs will inspire some Christmas spirit within you.
Although I’m no longer Christian, I can appreciate the zeal and conviction Christianity inspires; this is on full display in “Mary, Did you Know?”
